That's no fish story!

Hayden has been taking a fishing class he is doing really well. This is a picture of a 14 inch trout he caught! We took a picture with the tape measure so he wouldn't be accused of a "fish story". Grandpa Peterson takes him every week where he's learning how to do it all (that's right grandpa made him gut the thing too). Thanks to uncle Matt's chef abilities all three of the fish Hayden caught were eaten up (the other two were 10-12 inches not really picture worthy;)

Breakfast?

Mason decided to make me breakfast the other morning as you can see the scrambled eggs didn't turn out quite like moms! What the picture doesn't show real well is the entire griddle is dripping with raw egg I think it was over half dozen that he used!

Sick of being sick

I finally figured out how to get the pictures off my phone so I can share the quick shots with you. Mason and I are home from church today he has been sick all week but we are so proud of him because he's made it to the toilet more times than he's missed. Keep him in your prayers. .

Hayden was in an Opera at his school yesterday it was interesting as the kids wrote the thing themselves! Hayden and his buddies were "oversized chickens" thanks to my mom-in-law and Nana they looked spectacular! (yes of course Hayden is the overest sized chicken of the bunch!)

Mother's Day

When we went to Texas in February we were treated to a crawfish boil (bole how they pronounce it:) Anyhow they are like mini lobsters but with a lot less meat. For mother's day Jay, my dad and Matt had live ones shipped from Louisiana for lunch. We women were very excited! My sister in law who is from Texas was very excited! Jay also cleaned the carpet in my front room and did all the dishes which was huge! The kids each gave me a hershey bar with a coupon book with things like do the dishes, vacuum a room, etc. They also had some fill in the blank ones. I had to laugh when Hayden's read "Play catch with me", and on the do the dishes one he forged his dad's name instead of signing his! All in all it was a wonderful weekend and made me reflect on my own mom and how much she means to me and still teaches me! Love you mom!

road signs

I went to pick my cousins wife up the other day and this was a sign by her house in fact there were a number of them...I thought only camels had humps. Apparently speed "bumps" are out and humps are in!

soccer game!

Megan had a soccer game this week that was sooooo cold she was wearing 3 shirts, a jacket an over coat, pants with her shorts over them and of course her long socks. Her problem? Too hot not mine I wish I had worn about ten more layers the wind was wicked. This officially ends her soccer season she had a lot of fun. For those of you who it's been awhile Megan is the boisterous one in the brown and pink coat.
